Poetry-1

Jason

I am not entertained by the modern. I am an old soul, in a new world.. But at this pace, it seems we all are. They tell us, that if we do not keep up, then in the old we stay, stripped, devoid of all the perks in the new. How content, we are, to be left behind and how content they are, to wave in the rear-view.

Disconnected.. Like a dead dial tone, fearing the sound of the voice on the other side, until we hear “Hello?” and briefly end the call. Even now, the ringing is heard, again and again, we cup our ears, waiting, wondering, if our hearts will give up before the caller does.
