Poetry-68 (Bermuda Triangle Submission)

Jason

My past often revolts against the present, suggesting a change to the future.. Strangely, the past and future seem to be connected, but only by what binds them, time.

In the long past, we were mere slaves to the influence of time.. But we have learned to become shifty, unpredictable and masterful thieves, extending our longevity, leaving time itself to pick up the pieces behind us and how brazen we are, to think we are miles ahead of it; rebels, supremely evasive to it’s efforts.. Until one day, we see the shadow at our feet and know that all we can do is look back.
